Ara : Bhojpur police arrested two miscreants near Gangi bridge under Ara Town police station in the wee hour on March 9, 2020, and recovered a loaded pistol, two live cartridges, two mobile phones, and an unregistered motorcycle from their possession though one of their associates escaped from the spot.
Both the arrested miscreants were identified as Guddu Kumar of Haldi Chhapra under Maner police station in Patna district. The third miscreant, who managed to escape, has been identified as Abhyanand Mahto of Chatar village under Barhara police station in Bhojpur district. An FIR has been lodged with Ara Town police station and police later sent them to jail after interrogation. Police are conducting raids to arrest Abhyanand Mahto.
SHO, Ara Town Police station, said that police had launched special checking drive at Gangi bridge under Ara Town Police Station when they saw that three youth coming on a motorcycle. Seeing police, they tried to escape but police chased and arrested two of them while the third one escaped under the cover of darkness. The SHO said that the miscreants were going to commit crime somewhere.
