Dhanbad ( Jharkhand) : Fearing accident due to raging underground fire threatening to spread over to Dhanbad—Chandrapura  rail route through which several major  trains including Rajdhanai and Shatabadi, the Prime minister office (PMO) has cleared laying of new diversion rail tracks and entire shifting programme at a cost of over Rs 4,000 crore. More than 200 km of new rail lines will be laid which will take  about 7 years if the work starts  immediately, railway source informed.

Railway sources informed that on the advise of PMO, Rail India Technical and Economic service (RITES) has prepared its full report on shifting and laying  of diversion rail routes which  has been handed over to DGMS for its final approval which must reach PMO office before June 5, 2017,  so that go ahead signal is given immediately.
