Patna : PM Narendra Modi will contest from Varanasi, UP, again, in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls while BJP President Amit Shah will contest from Gandhinagar, Gujarat, replacing sitting MP and former deputy PM L K Advani, as the party released its first list of 184 candidates for 20 states including 28 candidates from UP.
Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh will again contest from Lucknow while Union Minister Nitin Gadkari will contest from Nagpur, Maharashtra. The BJP has selected its candidates on winnability criteria. The party has also cleared the names of its 17 names from Bihar and the same had been sent to State Election Committee, according to Union Minister J P Nadda who released the list.
Union Minister V K Singh will contest from Ghaziabad while Union Minister Smriti Irani take on AICC President Rahul Gandhi from Amethi, UP. Poonam Maharajn will the party candidate from Mumbai North Central while Union Minister Jitendra Singh will contest from Udhampur. Noted actor Hema Malini will against contest from Mathura, UP, while Union Minister Kiren Rijiju will be the party candidate from Arunachal West.
Union Minister Rajyavardhan Rathore will the arty nominee from Jaipur Rural while Union Minister Dr Mahesh Sharma will contest from Gautam Buddha Nagar. Sakshi Maharaj will be the party candidate from Unnao while Jay Panda will contest from Kendrapara. Union Minister Babul Supriyo will be the party nominee from Asansol, West Bengal, Jugal Kishore Sharma from Jammu, and Sanjeev Balyan from Muzaffarnagar. Union Minister Satyapal Singh will contest from Baghpat, UP.
