PM Modi constantly monitoring situation in Gorakhpur

New Delhi : PM Narendra Modi is constantly monitoring the situation in Gorakhpur. He is in constant touch with authorities from the Central and UP Governments. “MoS Health Anupriya Patel and the Union Health Secretary will take stock of the situation from Gorakhpur,” the Prime Minister said on August 12, 2017, according to a PIB release.

Thirty children died at Baba Raghav Das Medical College and Hospital, Gorakhpur, on August 10 & 11, 2017, due to acute shortage of Oxygen. BJP MP Sakshi Maharaj on August 12 alleged that 30 children infants died at Gorakhpur hospital because oxygen supply was cut off for non-payment of dues. UP CM Adityanath Yogi on August 12 ordered an inquiry into the tragedy.
