Patna: Though isolated in his agitation against demonetisation, RJD president Lalu Prasad, though isolated in his agitation against demonetisation, on December 28 led party workers on dharna at GAC fields, Patna, and alleged PM Narendra Modi was behaving like a dictator.
Addresing party workers, Lalu appealed to the electorates in Uttar Pradesh “Modi Hatao,Desh bachao” and predicted Mulayam Singh Yadav’s Samajwadi party would retain power. ” The PM had promised to improve the condition and sought 50 days time startingNovember 8 to restore normal economic life. Since 50 days deadline has concluded, the PM should own the responsibility for failure of demonetisation’s promised gains,” Lalu said.
Lalu said the BJP would be defeated in UP elections as like in Bihar assembly elections last year. He alleged Narendra Modi in his election speeches in 2014 had promised unearthing of black money in Swiss Banks and bringing the money of Indians from abroad. He failed to meet his commitment and now he has failed in giving relief to the
people post November 8.
The RJD president said black money was being recovered from the houses and bank accounts of BJP leaders in different parts of the country. The Government of India did not take measures to recover bank due from Vijay Malaya and allowed Lalit Modi to stay abroad. PM Narendra Modi is “terrorising” people every day by giving new threats after November 8,when high denomination notes were withdrawn from circulation, he alleged.
Lalu without naming Bihar CM Nitish Kumar said, ” Because of ego problems of some leaders, opposition could not
launch a united campaign agaisnt demonetisation.” The RJD workers held dharna at different district headquarters.
