New Delhi : Prime Minister Narendra Modi on August 6, 2020, condoled the loss of lives due to fire at a hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat. In a tweet, the Prime Minister said, “Saddened by the tragic hospital fire in Ahmedabad. Condolences to the bereaved families. May the injured recover soon. Spoke to CM @vijayrupanibjp Ji and Mayor @ibijalpatel Ji regarding the situation. Administration is providing all possible assistance to the affected.”

It may be mentioned here that eight COVID-19 patients including three women died in the blaze that broke out at 3.30 am on August 6, 2020, on the 4th floor of a private hospital.
