Patna : World No 2 Karolina Pliskova, 27, Czech Republic, swept aside World No 23 Petra Martic, 28, Croatia, in the final to lift the singles title at Zhenzhou Open, a WTA Premier Event played on outdoor hard courts, at Zhengzhou, China, her 4th title of the season and 15th overall.
Playing her fifth final of the year, top seed Pliskova beat 7th seed Petra Martic 6-3, 6-2 in the final to bag 470 WTA rankings points. Petra Martic got 305 points as runner-up.
