Ara : Morning walkers have good news as the Nagar Panchayat, Piro, is constructing a 1,100 metre long path for them at an estimated cost of Rs 24 lakh around the Padav Maidan at Piro in Bhojpur district.
The historical Padav Maidan, where the British army camped, is located in the heart of Piro and is the only place for morning walkers and players. This Maidan derived its name from British camp. It had earlier a well too on its southern end but not now. The players play in the morning here causing some problems to the morning walkers but with the construction of concrete path around the Padav Maidan their problem would be solved.
Executive Officer, Nagar Panchayat Piro, Jayesh Sinha said that after the construction of concrete path around the Padav Maidan, the Nagar Panchayat will beautify it too.
