Pappu Yadav demands SIT to probe benami assets of Bihar leaders

Saharsa : Madhepura MP and patron of Jan Adhikar Party (JAP) Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav on May 28, 2017, alleged that arrested Delhi CA  Rajesh Agarwal and Jain had helped several Mahagathbandhan legislators and minister in converting their black money into white after demonetisation was declared on November 8, 2016. Yadav urged Bihar CM Nitish Kumar to take action against owners of benami property by constituting an SIT.

Talking to mediapersons at Saharsa Circuit House, Yadav said that several Bihar leaders ,who hardly had Rs 1,000 in bank till 1990, now own  assets worth Rs 1,000 crore which requires investigation.

Yadav also said that the centre has announced establishment of an AIIMS in Kosi division but the state government was yet to provide land for it. The DMs of Saharsa, Madhepura and Supaul were requested thrice to give land for it but to no avail so far.

Yadav announced that Union Surface transport minister Nitin Gadkari gave permission for construction of national highways between Patarghat – Saurbazaar – Litiahi two days back. He also alleged that the state government was not giving land for the construction of a Kendriya Vidyalaya between Saharsa and Madhepura.
