Patna : Pakistan crushed Australia by 373 runs in the second test in the second session of play on the fourth day of the match at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on October 19, 2018, to wrap up the two-test series 1-0. Chasing a target of 538, Australia were all out for 164 only in their second innings with Marnus Labuschagne scoring 43 runs, Travis Head 36, opener Aaron Finch 31 and fast bowler Mitchell Starc 28. Captain Tim Paine was out for a duck while Shaun Marsh and Mitchell Marsh scored 4 and 5 runs respectively.
For Pakistan, fast bowler Mohammad Abbas took 5/62 taking his tally to 10 wickets in the second test. He had taken 5/33 in the first innings. He was declared Player of the Match.
Pakistan had made 282 in their first innings and declared their second innings at 400/9 wickets. Australia scored 145 runs in their first innings and 164 in second innings. For Pakistan opener Fakhar Zaman scored 94 in the first innings and 66 in the second innings. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed scored 94 in the first innings and 81 in the second.
For Australia, opener Aaron Finch scored 39 in the first innings and 31 in the second. Mitchell Starc scored 34 in the first and 28 in the second innings.
