Patna : Pakistan were all out for 445 in the second session of play on Day 3 in their first innings in the first test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on February 9, 2020, with fast bowler Abu Jayed and Rubel Hossain taking three wickets each while spinner Taijul Islam took two wickets. Medium fast bowler Ebadot Hossain took one wicket.

Fast bowler Shajheen Afridi fell to Rubel Hossain for 3 in the second session of play making it 422/8. Haris Sohail fell to Taijul Islam after lunch for 75 in 103 balls with 7 fours and 2 sixes and it was 442/9. Fast bowler Naseem Shah was run out for 2/

Bangladesh, who had scored 233 in their first innings, were 51/1 in their second innings at tea with opener Tamim Iqbal unbeaten on 32 in 45 balls with 6 fours while Najmul Hossain Shanto was unbeaten on 3. Opener Saif Hassan fell to fast bowler Naseem Shah for 16 with 4 fours. Tamim and Saif added 39 runs for the first wicket. Pakistan lead by 161 runs.
