Patna : Pakistan were all out for 348 in 135 overs in their first innings on the third day in the third test against New Zealand (NZ) at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi, UAE, on December 5, 2018, riding on Azhar Ali’s 134 in 297 balls with 12 fours and Asad Shafiq’s 104 in 259 balls with 4 fours. Captain and wicketkeeper Sarfraz Ahmed scored 25 while Babar Azam scored 14. Yasir Shah was run out for 1.

For New Zealand, spinner William Somerville took 4/75 while Ajaj Patel took 2/100. Trent Boult took 2/66 and Tim Southee 1/56.

New Zealand were 26/2 in 14 overs in their second innings at stumps on day 3 with captain Kane Williamson batting on 14 and spinner William Somerville on 1. Openers Jeet Raval and Tom Latham were out for zero and 10 respectively. New Zealand, who had scored 274 in their first innings, are still trailing by 48 runs.
