Patna : Pakistan were reeling at 96/6 after 35 overs at stumps on Day 2 in their first innings in the 2nd test against Australia at Adelaide Oval, Adelaide, Australia, on November 30, 2019, with fast bowler Mitchell Starc taking 4/22 in 13 overs. Babar Azal was unbeaten on 43 in 67 balls with 6 fours while Yasir Shah was 4 not out at stumps. Pakistan trail by 493 runs.

Opener Imam-ul-Haq fell to Starc for 2 while Captain Azhar Ali fell to fast bowler Pat Cummins for 9 making it 22/2. Opener Shan Masood fell to fast bowler Josh Hazlewood for 19 making it 38/3. Asad Shafiq fell to Starc for 9 and it was 69/4. Iftikhar Ahmed also fell to Starc for 10 making it 89/5. Mohammad Rizwan (wk) also fell to Starc  for a duck and it was 89/6. in 40 balls with 3 fours.

Earlier, resuming at their overnight score of 302/1, Australia declared their first innings at 589/3 in 127 overs with opener David Warner scoring a brilliant unbeaten 335 in 418 balls hitting 38 fours and six, his 23rd test ton and first triple century,  and Marnus Labuschagne scoring 162 in 238 balls with 22 fours. Warner and Lauschagne added 361 runs for the 2nd wicket. Both the batsmen hit back to back centuries. Warner became the 7th Australian batsmen to score a triple century in a test.

Steven Smith fell to fast bowler Shaheen Afridi for 36 with 2 fours while Matthew Wade remained unbeaten on 38 in 40 balls with 3 fours. Warner and Wade added 99 runs for the 4th wicket. Australia lead the two-match test series 1-0.
