GGPS Chas, GGPS Sector V win Inter-School Volleyball Tournament

Bokaro (Jharkhand) : The Boys Group GGPS Chas in Bokaro District in Jharkhand defeated MGM Higher Secondary School in straight games 25-17, 25-18 in the finals while in the Girl’s Category GGPS Sector V beat MGM Higher Secondary School 25-18,  25-20 in a close contest in the finals on November 30, 2019, to win the respective titles. The finals of the two-day Inter School Volleyball Tournament 2019-20 was organised by DPS Bokaro under the aegis of  Dr Radhakrishnan  Sahodaya School Complex.

Earlier in the semi-finals in the boy’s category, GGPS Chas defeated ARS Public School 25-15, 25-15  while in the second semi-final MGM Higher Secondary defeated AVM 25-18, 25-20. In the Girl’s category GGPS Sector V defeated Pentecostal Assembly School 25-07,25-15; whereas in the second semi-final MGM Higher Secondary defeated Ayyapa Public school  25-12;25-23.

Murari Kumar of GGPS Chas and Rajnandani of GGPS Sector V were declared the ‘Best Player of the Tournament’ respectively.

Gyan Ranjan, City DSP, Bokaro, was the Chief Guest at the valedictory session. Addressing the gathering, the Chief Guest congratulated the participants and highlighted the importance of sports in one’s life. He added that one must not be afraid of failures as they are the stepping stones to success.

Principal, DPS Bokaro and  President of Dr Radhakrishnan  Sahodaya School Complex, A S Gangwar, congratulated the winning teams and said that these two days have witnessed children putting in every ounce of their energy to compete. There have been cherished moments of pride and victory as well as a great learning experience.
