Patna : Pakistan were 57/0 in their second innings in 2nd test against Pakistan at stumps on Day 2 with openers Shan Masood and Abid Ali unbeaten on 21 and 32 runs respectively. Pakistan still trail by 23 runs.
Earlier, Sri Lanka (SL) were 271 all out in their first innings in 85.5 overs with Dinesh Chandimal scoring 74 in 143 balls with 10 fours, Dilruwan Perera scoring 48 in 84 balls with 6 fours and a six, and Dhananjaya de Silva scoring 32 in 56 balls with 2 fours and a six. Resuming at their overnight score of 64/3, SL added 207 runs losing 7 wickets on Day 2. Perera and medium fast bowler Vishwa Fernando added 36 runs for the 9th wicket. Fernando remained unbeaten on 5.
For Pakistan, fast bowler Shaheen Afridi took 5/77 while fast medium bowler Mohammad Abbas took 4/55. Haris Sohail took one wicket.
