Patna : Pakistan were 342/3 in 87.5 overs at stumps on Day 2 in their first innings in 1st Test against Bangladesh at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, with Babar Azal unbeaten on 143 in 192 balls hitting 19 fours and a six, his 5th test century, and Asad Shafiq unbeaten on 60 in 111 balls with 8 fours.
Babar Azam and Asad Shafiq have added 137 runs in their unbroken partnership for the 4th wicket. Bangladesh were all out for 233 in their first innings on Day1.
Starting their first innings on Day 2, Pakistan lost their first wicket that of opener Abid Ali for a duck with only 2 runs on board. Opener Shan Masood and captain Azhar Ali then added 91 runs for the 2nd wicket. Azhar fell to Abu medium fast bowler Jayed for 34 making it 93/2. Masood and Babar Azam then added 112 runs for the 3rd wicket. Masood fell to spinner Taijul Islam for 100 in 160 balls with 11 fours, his 2nd test ton, and it was 205/3.
