Patna : Pakistan were 129/6 in 51 overs in their seond innings at stumps on Day 3 in the 2nd test against South Africa at Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium, Rawalpindi, Pakistan, on February 6, 2021, with Mohd. Rizwan (wk) unbeaten on 28 in 56 balls with 3 fours and medium fast bowler Hasan Ali yet to open his account. Pakistan, who had scored 272 runs in their 1st innings, lead by 200 runs with 4 wickets in hand.

Pakistan were reduced to 45/3 in their 2nd innings. In fact, they lost the wicket of opener Imran Butt (0) with no run on board. Butt fell lbw to fast bowler Kagiso Rabada. His opening partner Abid Ali fell to spinner Keshav Maharaj for 13 making it 28/2. Captain Babar Azam fell to spinner Keshav Maharaj for 8 and it was 45/3. Azhar Ali fell to spinner George Linde for 33 making it 63/4. Fawad Alam fell to Linde for 12 and it was 76/5. All-rounder Faheem Ashraf fell to Linde for 29 making it 128/6.
