Bagaha: A demonstration of paddy harvesting under Prime Minister Crop Insurance scheme was made on Thursday at plot number 1,943 of one Mukhtar Ahamad, a resident of Barawat Sena under Bettiah Sub- division in West Champaran, in the presence of state Principal Secretary, Agriculture, Sudhir Kumar, District Statistic Officer Sanjay Kumar and District agriculture Officer (DAO) Silajit Singh to asses per acre paddy production. DAO Singh said that on this basis,paddy production of the district can be calculated and payment for crop damage to farmers would be possible.
