Ara : Over 15,000 applicants of Bhojpur district are unable of get the benefits of Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana despite allotment of funds as they have not submitted some relevant papers along with applications.

District Programme Officer (DPO)DPO, ICDS, Bhojpur, Rashmi Chaudhary, has directed all the Block Development Officers (BDOs) to upload the details of Aadhar and bank account numbers of the beneficiaries of their respective block on the e-beneficiary’ portal of the department.

Rashmi Chaudhary said that altogether 15,216 beneficiaries have submitted applications on the RTPS counters in the 14 blocks in Bhojpur district but only 51 beneficiaries have submitted relevant papers along with the applications. Now it has become a herculean task for the BDOs to get their bank account numbers and Aadhar details as the girls are living with their husbands after marriage. She said that the government has released the amount under Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah Yojana but the amount has not been not given to the beneficiaries so far. She said all the applicants have been requested to submit the relevant papers before their BDOs at the earliest so that the amount under the scheme could be transferred into their respective accounts.
