Ara : One Brajesh Dubey, 35, who worked and lived in Kolkata, was killed in celebratory firing at a marriage ceremony at village Jamuaw under Bihia police station in Bhojpur district on March 8, 2019, night. Brajesh Dubey, son of late Dhakhar Dubey, was a native of  village Sohodih under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur district.

Police brought the body over to Sadar Hospital, Ara, for post-mortem. An FIR has been lodged with Bihia police station but no arrest has so far been made in this regard. SHO, Bihia police station, Md Shahid Akhtar Ansari, said that a baarat from village Mahuli under Gajrajganj Police Outpost in Bhojpur district had come to the place of Satosh Ojha at village Jamuaw and  marriage was being solemnised. Meanwhile, a youth started pleasure firing and a bullet hit the temple of Brajesh Dubey, brother of Santosh Ojha, killing him on the spot. The deceased had come to attend the marriage ceremony. His wife, who was  in Kolkata, was informed about the incident.

ASP Manjeet Kumar said that police are interrogating people of both the sides though it is not clear so far as to who had fired.
