Ara : One person was killed while about a dozen persons were injured in a violent clash between two groups over fishing at village Chand Tola under Piro police station in Bhojpur district on October 28, 2019. Police have arrested six persons in this connection. Irate villagers blocked Piro-Jagdishpur main road near Jitaura Bazaar with the body of the deceased and demanded arrest of the persons who killed him.

The blockade was lifted after positive assurance from police officials. Later, police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The deceased was identified as Paras Singh, 50, son of late Rasdhari Singh of Saneya village under Piro police station. Tension prevails in and around Chand Tola following the incident.

Bhojpur SP Sushil Kumar said that peoples of two groups were fishing at Chand Tola under Piro police station on October 28 morning. During fishing both the groups clashed in which one Paras Singh of Saneya village was killed while about a dozen persons were injured. He said that police are camping in the area and the situation was well under control.
