Ara : One person was killed while six others were injured when an overloaded autorickshaw overturned near Belauti High School on Ara-Buxar main road under Shahpur police station in Bhojpur District on November 17, 2019.
Police brought the body over to Ara Sadar Hospital for post-mortem and admitted the injured there. The deceased was identified as Satyendra Turaha, 45, son of Chhotani Turaha of Chaudagi village under Murar police station in Buxar district. Satyendra Kumar Rawat of Dharahara village under Bihia police station in Bojpur District, who was seriously injured, was referred to Patna Medical College and Hospital. Police seized the autorickshaw.
SHO Shahpur police station, said that about eight persons hired an autorickshaw from Brahmpur in Buxar district to Bihia in Bhojpur district around 8am on November 17. When the autorickshaw reached near Belauti High School, the driver lost control over the steering and the vehicle overturned on road in which over half a dozen persons were injured. Police rushed them to Ara Sadar Hospital but Satyendra Turaha succumbed to his injuries on way to the Hospital. The driver of the auto rickshaw escaped from the scene leaving the vehicle behind.
