Bagaha: A four year old girl Sajani Kumari, daughter of Dhanesh Ram, died and seven other children were injured when a thatched Anganwadi cenrte at village Sehura under Jogapatti block in West Champaran district collapsed on September 6.

Priti Kumari (5),  Md Alam (4), Prince Kumar(4), Ankita Kumari(5), Roshan Kumar (5), Indrajit Kumar and  Ramanand, who were injured in the incident, were admitted to local Primary health centre (PHC). Jogapatti police station SHO Subas Kumar said that the autopsy of the body was performed at MJK hospital, Bettiah, the same day.

It was raining on Tuesday and the children were studying at the Anganwadi centre at Sehura when the thatched centre  suddenly collapsed. Hearing screaming of children, the villagers reached there and rescued them from debris but one of them Sajani Kumari died on spot. The centre was running at the thatched house of Anganwadi Sahayeeka Shudha Devi. Jogapatti Circle officer Shankar Prasad visited the place after the incident to inquire into it.
