Ara: Bhojpur police arrested Dhanji Yadav on Monday for allegedly demanding extortion money from a local businessman Sonu Kumar and are searching for the remaining two accused. Three miscreants had demanded Rs 20 lakh as rangdari from Sonu Kumar threating him with dire consequences if he failed to yield to their dictate. Sonu later filed an FIR against Dhanji Yadav, Mantoo Kahar and Vishwajit. They had earlier demanded Rs 10 lakh on mobile from Sonu and when did not pay, the trio reached his shop in Shivganj locality under Town police station, Ara, two days back and demanded Rs 20 lakh from him. Police sources said that Mantoo Kahar along with his two friends, Dhanji Yadav and Vishwajit, beat up a friend of Sonu Kumar in front of his shop on April 15, 2016, in which Sonu had intervened and this made the trio his enemy.
