Patna : New Zealand (NZ) beat England by 21 runs in the 2nd T20I at Westpack Stadium, Wellington, New Zealand, on November 3, 2019, to level the three-match series 1-1. England won the toss but opted to bowl. NZ spinner Mitchell Santner, who took the wickets of England captain Eoin Morgan, Sam Curran, and fast bowler Chris Jordan, was declared Player of the Match.

Batting first, NZ scored 176/8 in 20 overs with opener Martin Guptil scoring 41 in 28 balls hitting 3 fours and 2 sixes while James Neesham made 42 in 22 balls with 2 fours and 4 sixes. Colin de Grandhomme made 28 in 12 balls with 1 four and 3 sixes while Ross Taylor scored 28 in 24 balls with 2 fours and a six.
