Muzaffarpur: Notorious criminal Pintu Thakur, who had created terror in Muzaffarpur and several other districts of North Bihar, was shot dead by unidentified criminals at Rohua Chowk under Mushari police station in Muzaffarpur district on Monday. The assailants escaped after killing Pintu. Police sent the body to SKMCH, Muzaffarpur, for post-mortem.
It may be mentioned here that Pintu was jailed for kidnapping grandson of a former governor in the past. Police were searching for Pintu in several criminal cases. Police sources attributed Pintu’s killing to rivalry between two groups of criminals for supremacy. Police are probing into the incident.
