Ara : Teachers and Non-teaching staffs of Ishwar Dayal Bhagwat Singh College, an affiliated college at Nokha in Rohtas district, staged demonstration in front of the office of Vice-Chancellor, Veer Kuer Singh University (VKSU), Ara, on January 10 raising slogans against the VC and the officials of the university in protest against non-payment of their salary for the last eight months.
The college employees said that they requested the VC and university officials to release their salary several times but to no avail. As a result their families are starving, they claimed. The employees were contemplating to immolate themselves before the VC office but in the meantime, acting VC Leela Chand Sah reached there and assured them their salary would be released within a week.
