No further arrest in Kishanganj encounter

Patna : No further arrest has been made in connection with an attack by a group of 15 dacoits on a police team at Kishanganj in the wee hours on September 12, 2018, leading to a fierce encounter between the two sides in which a police Sub-Inspector (SI) Biswa Oraon and a dacoit were killed.

Four dacoits were injured and arrested in the firing between police and dacoits on MGM Road, Kishanganj, while the remaining members of the gang escaped under the cover of darkness. The dacoit had attacked the business premises of a Jute dealer Nandu Kumar Agrawal and  stabbed and injured the security guard.

SDPO, Kishanganj, Dr Akhilesh Kumar, said that the dacoits had never demanded `Rangdari’ ( extortion amount) from Nandu Kumar Agrawal before.
