Patna Bihar CM Nitish Kumar will attend the oath taking ceremony of Mamta Banrerjee in Kolkata. Talking to mediapersons here, Nitish on Thurdsday said under the leadership of Mamata, the TMC got a massive mandate in assembly elections. She got the landslide victory on her own. The BJP, which had put its  all resources there, failed miserably, he said.
In Assam, Nitish said the BJP could win because of the alliances with regional parties. Congress failed to enter  into alliance there which caused them major setback. He ruled out Congress free India and said in Puduchery, Congress was going to form the government.
He congratulated West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee and Tamil Nadu CM J Jayalalitha  and said the results were on expected lines.  Nitish had gone to Kerala for campaign and there were signs of Congress led UDF losing the elections.
At the BJP office here, senior party leaders Sushil Kumar Modi, Prem Kumar, Nand Kishore Yadav and Mangal Pande joined the Assam victory celebrations. Crackers were burst and sweets exchanged between the party workers.
No party leader was invited for campaign by BJP in Assam even as there is sizable presence of Bihari voters there. In 2011 elections, party workers and leaders from Bihar under the leadership of then deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi had gone to Assam. In West Bengal too,no leader frm Bihar BJP was invited though in Kolkatta and the constitutencies  bordering Purnia and Kishanganj and Jharkhand, there are several areas dominated by Bihari settlers.Union communications and IT minister Ravi Shnkar Prasad had addressed meetings in four constituencies but BJP candidates concerned failed to get elected. Sushil Modi had campaigned for a day in Kerala.
