Dhanbad ( Jharkhand) :  Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has promised former Jharkhand  minister and uncle of slain Niraj Singh, former Dhanbad Deputy Mayor, to write letter to union home minister Rajnath Singh to seek CBI inquiry into  high profile murder case which still remains unsolved. Niraj Singh murder case is  being investigated by SIT headed  by ADG (CID) Ajay Singh and comprises 9 other IPS officers. Niraj along with three others was  shot dead near Dhanbad steel gate on March 21, 2017.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das has bought  three days time from Bachcha Singh to crack the case giving 72 hours more to his officers to give results failing which he could contemplate to hand over this case  to the CBI.

Talking to  Bachcha Singh on phone March 26 night, Nitish Kumar asked Bachcha Singh as what  help he needs from him on this issue. Bachcha Singh pleaded for  CBI inquiry after which Nitish assured the former Jharkhand minister that he will be writing an official letter to union minister. Talking to this reporter, Bachha Singh said that Nitish has assured him all help and promised to request the home minister to order for CBI inquiry.“Nitish Kumar called me  and spoke to me for more than 10 minutes assuring all help,” said Bachha Singh .

Bachcha Singh met Jharkhand CM Raghubar Das at Ranchi on March 26 and pleaded for CBI inquiry pointing  that despite high profile inquiry being conducted by senior IPS officer no breakthroase yetugh has been made in the case. “Raghubar Das  promised me that if in next  three days results do not come in this case, he  might decide to hand over the case to  CBI. I will again meet the chief minister  on March 29 regarding development of this case, “ Bachcha Singh told this reporter.

In another development  in the case, Dhanbad SSP Ratan Mohan Chouthey on March 27 removed Saraidhela officer incharge Arvind Singh for  failing to act on information passed on to him. He has been replaced by  Chirkunda officer incharge Niranjan Tewary. It has been reported that four unknown persons were staying at Kusum Vihar colony falling under Saraidehla for last one month about which  a retired engineer of BCCL R A Rai  had personally informed   the OC but he did not take any action. After the gruesome murder of Niraj all the four persons have been found missing. Meanwhile, special police team  which was sent to Bihar and and UP  in search of few criminals are still away in neighboring states.

One of the prime accused in Niraj Murder case and BJP MLA Sanjiv Singh was called at Saraidhela Police station, Dhanbad, where he is being quizzed by Dhanbad SSP  Ratan Mohan  Chouthe.
