Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar held an emergency meeting with the officials of Disaster management department on Wednesday evening to review the relief measures for the victims of lightening in different parts of state. In last 24 hours, 57 people have been killed due to lightening.
The CM asked the officials to arrange payment of Rs four lakh each to the families of the deceased. In  Patna district, five deaths took place at Bihta and  two at Naubatpur, four at Nasriganj in Rohtas, four in Kaimur and four in Aurangabad district.  Director of Patna based Met centre AK Sen predicted heavy rains in the state for the next three days. Heavy rains lashed Patna also. Main traffic junctions including Dak Bungalow road, Patna junction circle and Kankabagh were waterlogged on Wednesday.
