Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar has directed the district collectors to install big TV screens at all relief camps for the entertainment of flood affected people taking shelter at such camps. Nitish, who visited the flood affected areas of Bhagalpur and Purnia divisions in two days, said flood affected people would be given meals three times at the camps.

He also asked the aanganwadi workers to open temporary schools at the relief camps. The CM said he has urged the union home minister to send team of experts to examine the siltation problems in riverbeds in the state. Bihar government would send the estimate of losses and damages after the flood affected areas are free of water, he said.
Nitish could not visit Amdabad in Katihar district as the road communication was damaged due to heavy floods. The CM sympathised with the flood affected people and said this year they suffered because of floods in Mahananda, Kankai and Ganga in quick intervals. He went to the relief camps at  Jarlahi, Barari, Manihari and announced gratitutous  relief (GR) at the rate of Rs 6,000 per family. He reviewed the relief measures with DMs of Bhagalpur and Purnia divisions. Chief secetary Anjani Kumar Singh was also with CM.
