Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Sunday inaugurated the much publicised one of the Seven Commitments “Arthik hal, Yuvaon ko Bal” at Addhivesan Bhavan at main secretariat on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti. This Nishchay includes three components,i.e. Student Credit Card scheme to be implemented by Education Department, Self Help Scheme to be implemented by the department of Planning and Development, and Skill Development to be implemented by the department of Labour resources.
Addressing the jampacked gathering, the CM said he is happy he is not such type of politician who make alluring promises in their speeches during the elections and now themselves termed those promises as “Zumla”. I do what I say,otherwise I dont speak, he said. He said that one of the nishchay, 35 % reservation to women in jobs has already been implemented.
The CM said that henceforth no poor student would be deprived of higher technical education due to financial constraints. Such students would get student credit card and get loan from scheduled banks for which the state government assures 100 percent guarantee to banks. Similarly, a jobless youth in 20–25 year age group would get Rs 2,000 per month, for two years to help him find job. Under skill development scheme, the youth would be imparted training in Computer, English conversation and personality development. These schemes are unique in India,the CM said.
Deputy CM Tejasvi Prasad Yadav, Education Minister Ashok Choudhary, Planning Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh, ministers Vijay Prakash and Awadhesh Kumar also addressed the gthering.Chief Secretary A K Singh and Development Commissioner Shishir Sinha dwelt in details about the scheme while principal secretary, Planning, Dr Deepak Prasad gave thanks.
