The new building has an underground parking for 450 vehicles besides a sewage treatment plant.
Addressing the police officials on the occasion, Nitish expressed his strong displeasure about frequent seizure of liquor across the state even as complete prohibition was enforced on April 5, 2016. He said that there was something wrong with the functioning of police. He said that the state government wants to provide helicopter to police but the successive DGPs failed to take a decision about it.
The CM asked DGP K S Dwivedi to shift the police headquarters to Sardar Patel Bhavan at the earliest. Nitish also said that he would visit the new police headquarters building once in a week but without giving any information.
