Nitish elected JD(U) national president unopposed

Patna: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar was on Tuesday elected unopposed as national president of the Janata Dal (United). Party’s Returning Officer  Aneel Hegde handed over the Certificate of election to Nitish Kumar’s representative Sanjay Kumar Singh, MLC, in the presence of R C P Singh, MP and General Secretary ,water resources development minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh  ‘Lalan’, Javed Raza, General Secretary, Afaque Ahmed Khan, Secretary,  Sanjay Jha, former  MLC, and party MLA from Bihar Ashok Kumar MLA.

Three General Secretaries of the Bihar Pradesh Janata Dal (U) Ravinder Prasad Singh, Navin Kumar Arya and Anil Kumar Singh were also present. Nitish Kumar who addressed a public meeting at Baghpat in UP will return here on Wednesday noon.
