Patna : Bihar CM and JD (U) National President Nitish Kumar on October 20, 2020, addressed five huge public rallies in Gopalganj, Siwan, Jehanabad, and Patna districts.
The crowd gave a warm welcome to Nitish in Gopalfanj where he addressed his first rally in Bhore Assembly Constituency (AC).“ Our government has given jobs to over 6 lakh people and are in the process of providing employment to another 60,000 to 70,000 people,” asserted Nitish addressing the voters in Bhore.
Rebutting the claims of RJD to provide 10 lakh jobs if voted to power, Nitish asked, “Where will the money for providing the jobs come from?” Taking a swipe at RJD on the issue, he said, “How can something which is impossible (providing 10 lakh jobs) be achieved by them? Will the money come from above, or from jail? ” He added, “Will they give fake currency to the people?” The rally in Bhore drew huge crowd.
Highlighting the importance of computer skills and employment, Nitish, who is set to become the chief minister again if the NDA is voted back to power, said it was very difficult to get a job without having computer skills. “ Our government started the Kushal Yuya Programme, where youth were imparted computer and soft skills relating to verbal communication. And we have trained over 10 lakh youth so that they can get employment,” added Nitish.
Addressing his second rally in Siwan’s Ziradei Assembly constituency, Nitish promised that if the NDA is voted back to power, every village would have solar street lights. “We have already provided electricity to every house, more than 6,000 MW is being consumed, now the target is to lighten up the villages with solar street lights,” he said.
Talking about the achievements of his government in empowering women, Nitish highlighted that women’s participation in administration and governance in the state has increased. We provided reservation to women in Panchyats and reserved seats for them in
police force, he said. Nitish claimed that no state in the country has more women in police force than in Bihar. “Did the state ever see women in police? We gave 35 % reservation to women in police force,” added Nitish.
