Patna : NDA partners JD(U) and BJP have reached a perfect seat sharing arrangement for Bihar Assembly polls for 243 seats. Bihar CM Nitish Kumar while addressing a presser here announced that the JD(U) will contest 122 seats and BJP 121 seats. He said that the JD(U) will give 7 seats to Hindustani Awam Mrcha (HAM-S) led by former CM Jitan Ram Manjhi from its quota while the BJP will accomodate Vikassheel Insaan party (VIP) led by Mukesh Sahni under its quota.

JD(U) and BJP had not contested Bihar Assembly polls together in 2015 as Nitish Kumar had joined hands with the RJD after the 2014 LS polls. In 2010 Bihar Assembly polls, the JD(U) had contested 141 seats while the BJP had contested 102 seats.

Nitish said that there was absolutely no confusion over seat sharing among the NDA partners. Bihar BJP president Dr Sanjay Jaiswal declared that the Nitish Kumar is the face of NDA in the state. Nitish said the NDA will seek votes on the strength of works done by his government in the state.

The BJP will not allow the LJP headed by Chirag Paswan to use the poster of PM Narendra Modi during electioneering and write to the Election Commission about it.
