Patna : Qualifier Nadia Podoroska, 23, Argentina, stunned 3rd seed Elina Svitolina, 26, Ukraine, in the quarter-finals on October 6, 2020, to reach the women’s singles semi-finals at French Open, a Grand Slam tournament payed on outdoor clay courts at Roland Garros, Paris, France. World No 131 Podoroska beat Svitolina in straight sets 6-2, 6-4 in QFs on Philippe-Chatrier court at Roland Garros sending her packing from the French Open.
