Patna: The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will probe the Bhopal central jail break case in which eight SIMI terrorists had managed to escape from the jail early Monday morning. The  8 terrorists were later killed by police, 20 km away from the jail.

Making the announcement, MP chief minister Shivraj Singh said the government has transferred the additional DG (jail) and suspended five jail officers including jailor of Bhopal central jail. One havildar was killed and another constable injured by the terrorists in B block of jail. The CM claimed the terrorists had fired on the police and in an encounter all the 8 were killed.
