Patna : New Zealand were 447/9 in 127 overs against West Indies (WI) at stumps on the second day of the first test between the two countries at Basin Reserve, Wellington, New Zealand, on December 2, 2017, with T Blundell, the local lad making his debut, batting on 57 made in 100 balls and fast bowler T Boult on 2 not out.

Earlier, all rounder Colin de Grandhomme made an entertaining 105 in 74 balls. His first test ton came in 71 balls. His century Ross Taylor, a former New Zealand captain, was out for 93, his 28th test half-century,  while Henry Nicholls made 67. West Indies were all out for a paltry 134 in 45.4 overs in their first innings on the first day of the test on December 1 with paceman Neil Wagner taking 7/39.
