Patna: The NDA on September 14 staged a Mahadharna in the state capital to press its demand for externment of former Siwan RJD MP Mohammad Shahabuddin from Bihar and his booking under Crime Control Act (CCA). Shahabuddin was released frpm jail after 11 years on September 10 after being granted bail by high court in a criminal case. The NDA also alleged nexus between the government and criminals in the state.
Top NDA leaders including former CM JItan Ram Manjhi, former deputy CM Sushil Kumar Modi, former Leader of oposition in state assembly Nand Kishore Yadav, state BJP chief Mangal Pandey and LJP leader Satyanand Sharma participated in the Mahadharna.
Meanwhile, the BJP attacked the Nitish Kumar government by displaying a photograph showing Mohammad Kaif, a key accused in Siwan scribe Rajdeo Ranjan murder case, presenting a bouquet to Health minister Tej Pratap.
