Patna: The NDA on Monday demanded externment of RJD vice-president and former Siwan MP Mohammad Shahbuddin from Bihar. Shahabuddin is staying in Siwan after his release on bail from Bhagalpur jail on September 10.

A delegation of leaders of BJP, LJP, RLSP and HAM(S) on Monday met Bihar governor Ramnath Kovind and submitted a memorandum having nine demands. They include Shahbuddin’s externment from Bihar, security to the families of the victims of the atrocities by  supporters of Shahbuddin, appeal in Supreme Court against Patna High Court order of Thursday releasing RJD leader on bail.
Former deputy chief minister Sushil Kumar Modi, former president of Bihar unit of BJP Nand Kishore Yadav, former minister and HAM(S) state president Brishen Patel and leaders of LJP an RLSP were part of the NDA delegation.
