Naxalite evading arrest for 6 years arrested in Rohtas

Sasaram: Police and CRPF jointly conducted raid at village Surmanva under Yadunathpur police station in Rohtas district on November 5 afternoon and arrested an active member of outlawed naxal organization TPC, Sanjay Chero, and forwarded him to jail. He was arrested in connection with an encounter with police at village Matigao under Chutia police station in Rohtas district in 2012. SHO, Chutia police station, Rajendra Prasad said that Sanjay Chero was an aide of former naxal commander Munna Vishwakarma and was absconding for the last six years. A number of cases are pending against him with different police station of the district. He was at present working for the TPC and collected ‘levy’ for the organization.
