Sasaram :Police, on a tip off, arrested a naxalite Bijay Pasi carrying a reward of Rs 50,000 on his head from his native village Rangpur in Rohtas district late March 23 evening. Police also seized three rifles, two guns, 75 live cartridges, police uniforms, levy receipts and naxal letterheads.
Sasaram SDPO Alok Ranjan said that Bijay Pasi controlled squad of Anil Kushwaha, a TPC member. He was responsible for collection of levy to purchase firearms. Police recently arrested Lal Ji Pasi, nephew of Bijay Pasi, from Kaimur. Lal ji Pasi was involved in over a dozen cases of murders and naxal violence. Police got the evidence during raid at the residence of Bijay Pasi.
The SDPO said that all the arms and ammunitions were kept in sports kit bag. He said that police had arrested Anil Kushwaha alias Sandesh and two other naxalites owing allegiance to the TPC recently. Police arrested Bijay Pasi on the revelation of Anil Kushwaha, who was arrested recently.
