Ranchi ( Jharkhand) : Dreaded maoist Ajay Yadav carrying a reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head was killed in gun battle among naxal splinter groups in Sitachuan forests under Mohammadganj police station in Palamu district in the wee hours on March 24, 2017, in Jharkhand. Besides Ajay, three other naxalites were also found killed while one injured naxalite has been taken into police custody. Jharkhand ADG R K Mallick confirmed the incident. Ajay Yadav was sub-zonal commander of a banned naxal outfit. Police also recovered several firearms including an AK 47. Ajay was wanted in over a dozen incidents of naxal violence.
