Nalanda woman gangraped at Bihta, 1 held

Patna : A 32 year old woman of Nalanda district was allegedly gangraped by Mukhia of Kunjwa panchayat under Bihta block in Patna district, Manoj Yadav, and owner of a private dairy Arvind Kumar on August 9, 2018, late night at Mahaveer Nagar, Bihta, after making her hostage.

They also threatened the woman with dire consequence if dared tell anything to anyone about the incident. The place of occurrence is just 800 metre away from Bihta police station. Bihta is 32 km away from Patna.

The woman, who works at Big Bazaar, Patna, was enticed by Arvind Kumar by offering her a good job at his dairy on Rs 10,000 per month, and asked her to reach Bihta for the purpose. When the lady reached Bihta, she was made by hostage by the 2 accused and ganaraped.

The woman, who lives at Jagdeo Path, Patna, reached Bihta police station on August 10 and lodged a named FIR against the 2 accused. SHO, Bihta police station, said that private dairy director Arvind Kumar had been arrested and raids were on to nab Mukhia Manoj Yadav. He also said that the incident occurred on August 9 night. The police will seek speedy trial of the case to punish the accused, said police sources.
