New Delhi : Minister of Urban Development M Venkaiah Naidu on June 30, 2017, launched the Delhi Development Authority’s offer of 12,072 houses under ‘DDA Awasiya Yojana-2017’ of which over 99% houses are meant for the Middle Income Group, Lower Income Group and Janta categories. Stating that the DDA would be offering a total of one lakh houses @ 20,000 per year till 2022 to further the mission of Housing for All, Naidu said that Real Estate Act that had already come into force and introduction of GST from July 1, 2017,  would bring the much desired correction in real estate sector, according to a PIB release.

DDA has incentivized this offer by removing the five year ‘Lock in period’ for resale besides retaining the prices at the 2014 level and addressing the infrastructure gaps.
