Mystery shrouds death of Bhabhangama farmer

Naugachhia: Police took under their custody body of Kamdeo Modi, a farmer, hanging from a window with a Lungi of a three storied building of one Birendra Chaudhary on Sunday morning.This news sparked tension at village Babhangama under Bihpur police station in Bhagalpur district and villagers gathered at the place of occurrence. DSP Mukul Kumar Ranjan with Rajesh Sharan, SHO, Bihpur PS, reached the spot and took the body of Modi, who belonged to Babhangama, under custody. Prima facie, police suspect it to be a case of suicide but some villagers alleged it was a case of murder. Chanda Devi, wife of Modi, said that her husband went outside home on Saturday evening but did not return and she searched him at the village but in vain. Mystery shrouds how Modi returned here and hanged himself. The deceased had no enmity with any one.
