Mystery shrouds death of 9 yr old school girl in Muzaffarpur

Muzaffarpur : Mystery shrouds the death of a nine year old student Kajal Kumari of Upgraded Government Middle School , Gosaipur, under Baruraj police station in Muzaffarpur district at 12 noon on April 12, 2017. Kajal, a student of Standard III,  was daughter of Ramnath Mahto of village Gokhula. The reasons behind Kajal’s death are yet to be ascertained.

Kajal’s mother Sumitra Devi, a farm worker, said she was going on work after sending her daughter to school when her younger son informed her about Kajal’s death. School head Rajkishore Singh claimed that Kajal was suffering from epilepsy but had earlier stopped taking medicine. But, Sumitra Devi denied that her daughter was an epileptic and claimed she had taken lunch from her tiffin box at the school. A youth of the village said that the girl died due to negligence. Block Education Officer, Motipur, Usha Kumari, and BDO, Srikant Thakur, said the incident would be inquired into.
