Muzaffarpur: District Programme officer (DPO), Muzaffarpur, Neeta Pandey, has recommended for dismissal of 129  school teachers allegedly appointed on the basis of fake certificates that they had cleared the Teachers’ Eligibility Test (TET). She has also recommended for lodging FIR against these teachers.

DPO Pandey said that during inquiry 35 and 26 such teachers were identified under Bochaha and Gaighat blocks while 22 teachers were identified under Saraiya block, 16 under Mushhari block, nine each under Motipur and Paru blocks and six each under Sakra and Kanti blocks of Muzaffarpur district. The DPO said that salary of 20 Headmasters and 24 teachers found absent during the inquiry had been withheld. She said the inquiry would continue.
